What to Do:

Many people visit Rhodes for its architecture and impressive history dating back thousands of years.

A visit to the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is sure to be the highlight of any trip to the island. Ancient statues, crests, fountains and towers to name a few are situated within the medieval walls; visitors will feel as if they have stepped back in time. Street of the Knights is the most beautiful street in the town, which is a preserved cobbled street lined with ancient inns.

The Acropolis of Lindos is the most impressive archaeological site on the island. It’s quite a steep walk to get there, however donkeys are available to hire to take the weight off your feet. The dramatic backdrop of the acropolis against the azure-blue ocean makes the difficult trip well worth it, though!

The picturesque village of Lindos is filled with bars, shops and boutiques. It’s the perfect place for people-watching, buying souvenirs and indulging in some delicious fresh Greek cuisine.

Faliraki is popular with young adults thanks to its lively nightlife and adrenaline-fuelled watersports. It’s home to the biggest waterpark in Greece, where you can ride water slides, splash around in a huge wave pool or relax in the lazy river.

Anthony Quinn Bay is just a five minutes’ drive from Faliraki; it’s a beautiful hidden cove with crystal-clear water. Explore the underwater scenery, embrace the natural beauty of the Greek island and simply relax under the beating sun.

Where to Eat:

Traditional food lies at the heart of Greek culture. Whether you are a vegetarian, meat-lover or fish-lover, there is guaranteed to be something on the menu that you’ll enjoy.

Kioupia is located 7 kilometres south west of Rhodes Town, in Ialyssos. It’s one of the most famous restaurants in Greece thanks to its traditional dishes and imaginative menu. Nothing is too much trouble for the chefs, who will happily cater to all appetites.

If you fancy Italian cuisine, Gatto Bianco serves homemade pasta, wood-oven pizza and authentic desserts to name just a few. Situated just off St Stephanos’ Square in Lindos, visitors can soak up the sun on the terrace with views of the acropolis or sit in the stylish, minimal restaurant.

Courtyard Bar offers stunning panoramic views of its surroundings, and is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset. There is also live music on Sunday’s, with a fantastic atmosphere as the sun goes down.
